The Trikke (pronounced trike), which works by shifting your weight from side to side, was created way back in 1988 by two Brazilian guys. They were looking for something that would allow them to race downhill and be stable - hence the three wheels.
Today, the Trikke comes in many different shapes and guises including a motorized version called the TRIBRED and there is the SKKI - guess what they use that one for!
You do not cycle a Trikke (it is not a bike) you carve it. It is taken from the motion produced when you are sharpening two knives - that up and down motion which is called carving.

These carvers are not the new kids on the block, they are quality designed and have constantly improved as they have evolved through use and feedback over the years of use.
They are used around the world by fitness fanatics and enthusiasts alike. There are even recognized race meets and championships and they have schools and trainers linked to vitually every sales outlet.
They have been so well adopted because there is a version for just about everyone from beginners to the experienced cyclist - or should I say carver.
With sales on the rise and more and more people becoming fitness conscious it will not come as a surprise if you see one of these being carved down your road any day now.
The Trikke is not some a here today gone tomorrow fad it is a serious piece of equipment designed to last – and last it has and will.
